Reduced muscle movement translates to fewer emerging fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin. At Luminé Skin & Laser in Scarborough, our advanced injectors specialize in the precise application of neuromodulators to target concerns such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet with natural, balanced results.
Beyond aesthetics, neuromodulators also offer therapeutic benefits. Our experienced practitioners provide treatment for conditions such as excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), TMJ-related jaw tension and pain, and chronic migraines—offering both cosmetic enhancement and functional relief.
Witness the astounding differences in the “before” and “after” stages.

Neuromodulators, in the context of cosmetic procedures, refer to substances like Botulinum Toxin Type A (e.g., Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®) that temporarily block nerve signals to targeted muscles, leading to muscle relaxation and wrinkle reduction.
Neuromodulators work by temporarily inhibiting the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, which reduces muscle activity. This leads to a temporary relaxation of the muscles, resulting in smoother skin and the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines.
Neuromodulators are commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles, including forehead lines, frown lines (between the eyebrows), and crow's feet (around the eyes). They can also be used for other facial areas.
Results typically start to become noticeable within a few days to a week after the injection, with the full effect achieved in about two weeks.
The effects of neuromodulators are temporary and generally last for several months. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain the results over time.
